The EU Digital Omnibus (Regulation (EU) 2026/1744) entered into force on 27 July 2026, adjusting several EU AI Act deadlines. Article 5 prohibited practices have applied since February 2025. GPAI provider obligations applied from August 2025. Article 50 transparency obligations apply from 2 August 2026. Annex III high-risk obligations move to 2 December 2027. Annex I embedded high-risk obligations move to August 2028. Article 50(2) watermarking moves to 2 December 2026.
